Broken Spring Service
Torsion springs suffer from spring fatigue causing them to break. Springs are under tremendous torque (tension) when the door is in the down position. This is necessary. Springs have to be under tension in order for the door to be lifted.
If you can’t lift your garage door you may have a BROKEN SPRING similar to the one shown in our photo. If a spring is broken you can see the separation. Most double car garage doors have two TORSION SPRINGS. Only one may be broken, and it can keep the door from opening.
Broken springs on overhead garage doors should be replaced *ONLY BY AN EXPERIENCED TECHNICIAN. If you suspect you have a broken spring contact us today. Do not attempt to open your garage door with a broken spring.
We also replace extension springs on overhead garage doors.
